Boosting Self-Esteem Through Clothing

Growing up is tough, and even tougher without the right resources. Our Clothing Closet offers families with students ages 4-18 years old the chance to shop for new and gently used clothing, free of charge, in a boutique-like setting. Guided by our mission to honor the dignity of all, we ensure high-quality items and a welcoming environment, allowing clients to select clothing that fits their needs and style.

First-Time Visitors

First-time visitors to the Clothing Closet will go through a brief check-in process in the Food Pantry. After approval, clients will be able to shop for a specific number of clothing items per child.  All conversations and services provided at WayPoint Resources are confidential.

Please follow the guidelines below to ensure we can meet your needs.

  • Clients must live in Dallas County or Waukee Community School District.
  • Bring identification for each member of the household (including children).
  • Bring proof of residency (utility bill or rental lease agreement).
CLOTHING CLOSET HOURS

Monday:  12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Tuesday:  9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Wednesday:  9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Thursday:  9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Friday:  CLOSED

Saturday: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Sunday:  CLOSED

How often can I visit the Clothing Closet?

Registered clients may visit once a month.

Do you have adult clothing?

Do to space limitations, we offer adult-size clothing to families with students ages 4-18 years old only.  

If we don't find the number of items we are allowed to take home, can we come again in the same month?

Visits are limited to once a month.

Does your Clothing Closet replace the Dallas County Closet?

Yes, the Dallas County Closet merged into WayPoint Resources on April 1, 2022, to offer families food, clothing, medical services, and overall support in one place.
