SEASONAL PROGRAMS
Programs with a Purpose
Throughout the year, clients are invited to participate in a series of seasonal programs. These programs include: Easter Baskets of Love, School Supplies, Share Your Thanksgiving Feast, and the December Blessings Program. Please see below for program details.
NOTE: Online pre-registration is required for School Supplies, Christmas Food Box, and Christmas Gifts for Kids.
Easter Baskets of Love
(March – April)
The Easter Baskets of Love program is an opportunity for your children to celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each basket is filled with traditional Easter goodies and small toys.
Children ages 2–12 will be eligible for Easter baskets.
NOTE: Basket items are available in the Food Pantry and are based on availability.

School Supplies
(June – August)
School supplies are available for children in grades kindergarten through high school in the Waukee Community School District. If you would like to participate in our 2025 School Supplies program you must complete the online application and provide identification for all household members, proof of income, and address by 3:00pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Online pre-registration is required.

Share Your Feast Thanksgiving
(November)
During the month of November, clients will have the option to select bonus Thanksgiving meal ingredients during monthly Food Pantry visits. These bonus items will vary based on availability but will include such items as meat/poultry, cranberry sauce, green beans, stuffing, and more.

December Blessings
(October – December)
Our December Blessings program provides registered clients with the opportunity to receive both a Christmas food box and Christmas gifts for their children.
The pre-assembled Christmas food box contains a variety of nourishing essentials for a traditional holiday meal. Children, from infancy through high school, can be registered to receive one or two wish list gifts generously donated by our supporters.
