On Our Way to a New Home
WayPoint Resources is preparing for a future standalone location designed to serve local individuals and families with greater accessibility, privacy, efficiency, and dignity.A New Space to Serve Growing Needs
For more than two decades, WayPoint Resources has grown responsibly alongside the needs of our community. Since 2005, household visits have increased from 92 to 6,613, while WayPoint has continued serving from the same church basement location. Every available space has been used to its fullest, and we are now facing accessibility, safety, privacy, and efficiency challenges that limit how well we can serve.
With Dallas County projected to reach 135,000 residents by 2030, aligning our facility capacity with growing needs is essential to maintaining access, strengthening service delivery, and supporting long-term sustainability.
To meet this growing need, WayPoint is preparing for a future home designed to better support clients, volunteers, staff, and partners.
Our future home will help WayPoint serve more effectively by creating:
- Easier Access
A street-level location will make it easier for clients, volunteers, and partners to enter, move through the space, and access services. - Improved Privacy
A better layout will create a more comfortable and respectful experience for individuals and families seeking support. - Better Service Flow
More room will allow food, clothing, healthcare, and support services to work together more efficiently. - Greater Storage and Capacity
The new location will nearly double our current service area, creating more space for food, clothing, supplies, and daily operations. - Room to Grow
As more families turn to WayPoint, our future home will help us respond to today’s needs while preparing for the future.
