School Snack Packs

(Year-Round)

The mission of the School Snack Pack program is to provide children with food to take home over the weekend. The snack packs are filled with child-friendly, easy-to-prepare food and discreetly distributed to students in Dallas County.

Please consider donating snacks or assembling snack packs with friends or co-workers.

Easter Baskets of Love

(April)

Baskets of Love is an opportunity to bring smiles to the children in our community during the Easter season. Each basket contains Easter toys and goodies for young children.

Please consider helping us continue to reach out to children in need by donating items to help fill the baskets. Donations can be dropped off at WayPoint Resources during open hours.

Summer Food Drive

(June – August)

When school cafeterias close for the summer, kids lose a regular source of meals. Families who rely on free and reduced-priced lunches suddenly have much higher grocery bills.

During these summer months, we also face a decline in food donations and an increase in families coming in for food assistance. Our Summer Food Drive looks to replenish our shelves to meet this higher demand. 

School Supplies

(June – August)

Ensures that children have the tools they need to succeed academically, reducing the anxiety parents might feel about their child’s education.  

• Make a Financial Donation: Use the donation button and your funds will go directly towards this school supplies program.
• Become a School Supplies Sponsor: Learn about a simple way to play a big role in building an equitable learning environment for local children.
• Hold a School Supplies Drive: Register your school supplies drive and receive additional support materials.
• Donate Supplies: Purchase school supplies from our checklist below and drop them off during our open hours.

Share Your Feast Thanksgiving

(November)

Thanksgiving often brings excitement as we plan and gather with loved ones, but for some families, the cost of a holiday meal is out of reach.

The Share Your Thanksgiving Feast program fills our pantry with Thanksgiving favorites, ensuring clients can choose what they need to prepare a holiday meal. Please help us keep the shelves stocked for the season.

December Blessings

(December)

Bless families in need this Christmas season by giving the gift of food! With your help, we supply full Christmas dinners and gifts to hundreds of families in the Waukee area. Your support will make a difference in their lives.

Gift of Food: We suggest providing enough food for a family of four to six.

Gifts for Kids: Help ensure that no child misses out on the joy of the holidays. With your donations, we provide toys, clothes, and holiday essentials to children in need, making their season special and full of love.

3. Winter clothing essentials—coats, boots, and snow pants—for students ages 4T through high school for our Clothing Closet
